The position immediately available on 150cow modern dairy farm in Ginigathenna, Hatton. Breed Friesian & Ayrshire cows to produce the best quality milk in Sri Lanka. The pasture lands of this farms are cultivated with Ryegrass seeds important from Switzerland 🇨🇭 & Australia. Other main crops in the fodder maize and ALFALFA. The farm are equipped with automatic milking parlors and modern heavy machinery required for farming

THE POSITION:

The Dairy Herd Manager carries the responsibility of the efficient management of Animal husbandry and pasture cultivation. While providing strong leadership and playing a hands-on role in all actively the farm and milk collecting center.

Will also Manage Farmers Management society(FMS).

At the end he should run the dairy farm.

Managing the milk collection routes with the FMS.

Monitoring the milk payment made by the FMS

Encouraging new farmers to join the

To start new society/ milking collecting point and new milk collecting route.

THE CANDIDATE:

Dynamic energetic person with:

â–  Experience and /or knowledge in Dairy Farming & Crop Farming

â–  Experience in Crop cultivation (specially corn, maize and grass cultivation, cattle management and dairy farmers management society

â–  Good educational background preferably with a Agriculture and or Animal husbandry Diploma or other relevant

Must have current, valid driver’s license

â–  Age below 35 years

02.Assistant Account Manager

THE POSITION:

The Assistant Account Manager carries the responsibility of preparation of financial statements and tax related work when required.

Will also Manage all debtors and customer management.

Manage payments including petty cash

03. Dairy Farm Assistant / Labor’s

THE POSITION:

  • Harvest and inspect crops by hand.
  • Irrigate farm soil and maintain ditches or pipes and pumps.
  • Operate and service farm machinery.
  • Spray fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungi, and weeds.
  • Move shrubs, plants, and trees with wheelbarrows or tractors.
